Mr. Fogarty, a life-long resident of Greenwich, practices in the area of civil litigation. A member of the Connecticut and New York bars, he has tried more than one hundred civil cases, many of them complex, before judges and juries in federal and state courts, and has argued more than forty cases at the appellate level. Mr. Fogarty was a partner in the Stamford firm, Durey & Pierson, and law clerk to the Hon. Howard W. Alcorn, Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court. He holds law degrees from Fordham University and New York University. Mr. Fogarty has served on the Statewide Grievance Committee and the Board of Editors of the Connecticut Bar Journal and is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocacy. He has drafted rules of practice governing civil procedure and has frequently served as a Special Master in both the federal and state courts. In Greenwich, Mr. Fogarty has served on the Representative Town Meeting and the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Agency.
