James T. Crain, III was admitted to practice in 1992. Before joining RWSV in 1996, Mr. Crain practiced with law firms in Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky, concentrating his practice in the areas of general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, restaurant franchising and real estate leasing.
A native of Louisville, Mr. Crain received his B.A. in political science with distinction from the University of Kentucky in 1989, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and his J.D. from the University's College of Law in 1992.
Mr. Crain counsels publicly traded companies and privately held businesses on a broad range of corporate, merger, acquisition, divestiture, real estate finance and leasing, and venture capital funding matters.
Mr. Crain is co-author of the chapter on closely held corporation governance and minority shareholder issues in the University of Kentucky College of Law CLE publication Kentucky Corporation Law. He is a member of the Kentucky, Louisville and American Bar Associations.
