Cowan, Scott W.

Tom Costello practices in the firm's DuPage and Will County offices, and his practice spans all of the counties throughout Illinois. Tom is experienced in handling a variety of civil litigation matters, including complex torts, commercial law, dram shop, insurance coverage, construction, and employment discrimination.  Tom also has significant experience in the defense of local public entities pursuant to the Illinois Governmental and Local Governmental Employees Tort Immunity Act, including successful defense of numerous townships throughout the state. Additionally, Tom serves as coverage counsel for a number of the firm's clients.

Tom received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Tom also received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Illinois, where he was a member of the University of Illinois Journal of Law, Technology and Policy.  At Illinois, Tom was a member of the National Invitational Moot Court team that placed first at the Henry Manne Law and Economics Moot Court competition in Washington, D.C.  He is also a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association, and various local bar associations.
