Mr. Peterson focuses his practice on personal injury and complex commercial cases.
Before coming to Burg Simpson, Mr. Peterson spent twelve years as a high school American History and Social Studies teacher where he was one of fifty teachers annually to be selected as a James Madison Fellow for constitutional scholarship. At Burg Simpson, Mr. Peterson developed and coordinated the 2012-2013 Burg Simpson Scholarship Competition.
During law school, Mr. Peterson wrote about issues related to corporate governance for “The Race to the Bottom.” Mr. Peterson was also recognized in receiving the Charles F. Brannan LLB endowed memorial scholarship for students who show potential to become exemplary lawyers, as well as the Arthur X. Erickson J.D. endowed memorial scholarship for students with high academic performance and community service.
Mr. Peterson serves as a professional mentor for University of Denver law students, is an active member of the Minoru Yasui American Inn of Court, and in March 2013, will be amongst a group of attorneys who will study the Cuban legal system at the Union de Juristas de Cuba in Havana, Cuba.
