Mr. Finnegan, a former litigation partner with Phillips Nizer LLP, joined the Firm as a partner in February 2003. He graduated from Georgetown University in 1976 with a B.S.B.A., majoring in Accounting, and received his law degree in 1984 from New York Law School. Mr. Finnegan is also a certified public accountant.
Mr. Finnegan was a prosecutor in the Office of Robert M. Morgenthau (Manhattan DA) from 1984 until 1988. Mr. Finnegan's practice has concentrated in the areas of commercial litigation and arbitration, including civil RICO, securities fraud, shareholders derivative suits, trade secret litigation, licensing and other varied contractual disputes. He also practices in the area of family law, personal injury litigation, and criminal defense.
Mr. Finnegan is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, Rockland County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Council.
