Wayne Ferrell was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi. He attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi where he received the Diamond Anniversary Football Scholarship and graduated in 1964. He attended Mississippi College School of Law and graduated in 1975. Wayne attended McGill University, Institute of Air & Space Law in Montreal, Quebec, Canada where he received his Master of Laws in Aviation and Space Law in 1981. He was vice president of the Institute of Aerospace Law Class and ranked second in his class. Wayne is now a solo practitioner in Jackson, Mississippi and is of counsel to Lundy, Lundy, Soileau, & South, L.L.P.

Wayne has been a guest lecturer for various universities, groups and associations addressing topics including, "Aircraft Manufacturer's Liability," "FAA Mandated Drug Screening Program for Airline Personnel," "The Use, Misuse and Abuse of Expert Witnesses," "Tort Practice in Chancery Court," "Winning Jury Trials," and "Aviation Insurance and Punitive Damages in Chancery Court," and authored Aircraft Manufacturer's Liability. Wayne also possesses an impressive military service record, with two years of active duty in the U.S. Air Force, twenty-two years in the Air National Guard, and three years in the Air Force Reserves. He served as a Pilot, Maintenance Officer, Deputy Commander of Maintenance, and Emergency Management Officer.

Wayne is a member of the Mississippi State, American, Hinds County and Lawyer Pilots Bar Associations. He is also a member of the American and Hinds Country Trial Lawyers Associations and the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association where he has served on the Board of Governors and as Chairman of the Products Liability Committee. Additionally, he is a member of the National Transportation Safety Board Bar Association, the American Society of International Law, the Institute of Air & Space Law Association and is an agent for the National Football and Basketball Players Associations.

Wayne's areas of practice include Aviation Law; Products Liability Law; Toxic Torts; Commercial Litigation; Personal Injury; Eminent Domain; Trademarks, Copyrights and Unfair Competition Litigation with Special Expertise in Aviation and Space Law; Aircraft, Engine and Avionics Maintenance Management; Aircraft Accident Investigation; Aircraft Financing; and Federal Aviation Regulation Enforcement Cases.
