Dean Benjamini has been practicing exclusively in the area of criminal defense for over 18 years. He was employed by the Riverside County Public Defenders Office as a criminal defense attorney for nearly twelve years. He has extensive trial experience, successfully defending clients accused of crimes including capital murder, murder, three strikes cases, drug offenses, sex offenses, as well as numerous misdemeanor offenses, including driving under the influence and domestic violence cases. In September of 2005, with his wife Emily, they founded their own firm, Benjamini & Benjamini, Attorneys at Law, A.P.C. Their practice is concentrated exclusively in the area of criminal defense. They handle all adult and juvenile criminal law matters throughout Eastern Riverside County, including the Coachella Valley, Banning, Blythe, and the surrounding areas of San Bernardino County that make up the Morongo Basin.
Dean Benjamini is a Certified Criminal Law Specialist.* A California attorney who is certified by the State Bar as a Criminal Law Specialist must have taken and passed a written examination in Criminal Law, demonstrated a high level of experience in Criminal Law, fulfilled ongoing education requirements, and been favorably evaluated by other attorneys and judges familiar with his work. Dean Benjamini is a long-standing member of the California Public Defender's Association, a member of California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, and he was a Trustee with the Desert Bar Association for two years.
Dean Benjamini has been granted an AV Peer Review Rating.** An AV certification mark is a significant rating accomplishment a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence. A lawyer must be admitted to the bar for 10 years or more to receive an AV rating. An AV rating represents the highest possible rating based upon legal ability and ethics.
