Michael A. Conte grew up in Flemington, New Jersey. He graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School and went on to Rutgers College, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Philosophy. Michael then attended graduate school at Columbia University, where he obtained a Masters of Arts degree in Philosophy of Education in 2000.

After graduate school, Michael married his wife, Patricia, and moved to Newtown, Pennsylvania. Soon thereafter, Michael became employed as a probation officer in Perth Amboy, New Jersey.

In 2005, Michael was accepted to Temple University Law School in Philadelphia. He transferred his job from Middlesex to Mercer County, so he could remain employed while attending law school in the evenings. In Mercer County, Michael was reassigned to the Child Support Enforcement Division, where he worked for the following five years. Michael became became intimately acquainted with the various parts of the Mercer County Family Court system. Aside from being a top-performing child support caseworker, Michael became a Court liaison who regularly appeared before Family Division Judges and Hearing Officers in enforcement related hearings. Michael was promoted to the title of Senior Probation Officer in April of 2009.

In the evening division at law school, Michael became a staff member of the Temple Law Review. He also became a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, where he won "best brief" in the Samuel J. Polski Competition and was a finalist in the I. Herman Stern Competition. Michael graduated from Temple Law School in 2009.

After graduating from law school, Michael served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Mary C. Jacobson, who is currently the Mercer County Assignment Judge. At the time of Michael's clerkship, Judge Jacobson was the Presiding Judge of the Family Division. When Judge Jacobson was transferred to a new assignment in March 2010, Michael became the law clerk for the incoming Presiding Judge of the Family Part, the Hon. Catherine Fitzpatrick, P.J.F.P.

At the termination of his clerkship in 2010, Michael joined Ulrichsen Rosen & Freed LLC, where he has exclusively practiced in the area of family law. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Michael Conte continues to reside in Newtown, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Patricia, and three children. When not working, Michael enjoys spending time with his family.
