Daniella Ferrari has returned to AWD after 18 months dedicated to mission work and volunteer/charitable outreach. Her diverse professional experience, including five years of private practice in Sedona, has been driven by her personal mandate of service to others, particularly battered women and indigent, abused, or neglected children.

As an independant contrator for the Verde Valley Sanctuary and the Yavapai County Public Defender’s Office, she represented this vulnerable population in adoptions, guardianships, termination of parental rights, and custody issues.

Currently the only woman at AWD practicing family law, Ferrari will continue to advocate for women, some of whom only feel comfortable with a female attorney, especially when issues of domestic violence are involved. She will also serve as a “best interest” lawyer for children whose parents are embroiled in the highly emotional arena of legal conflict.  In addition, she hopes to develop her juvenile law practice with an eye to increasing the firm’s involvement in adoption, a specialty that people don’t necessarily associate with juvenile law.

A dual citizen of the United States and Brazil, Ferrari brings an informed global sensibility to Flagstaff, having lived and worked in Spain, Monaco, France, and Aruba. Recently a religious mission took her to India and Italy, where she helped establish a rural school and taught children from preschool to second grade. Bilingual in English and Portuguese, she is fluent in Italian and French, and conversant in Spanish.
