Scott Paris concentrates his practice on insurance regulatory issues affecting insurers. Mr. Paris applies his knowledge of the insurance industry and regulatory compliance to assist clients with issues related to product development and filings, corporate filings, market conduct and licensing. 

Mr. Paris has focused his career on helping to advance the insurance industry. Most recently, he served as a senior associate at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. In this capacity Mr. Paris advised insurers on developing procedures to comply with regulations resulting from the Dodd-Frank Act.  Through internships with leading organizations including the U.S. House Financial Services Committee, the Securities & Exchange Commission, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, American Insurance Association, New York State Insurance Department and the American Council of Life Insurers, he gained insight into the impact that the Dodd-Frank Act and the regulation of property and casualty insurers has on the industry.

Before entering law school, Mr. Paris was a paralegal in the litigation department at MetLife. During his tenure, he was involved in numerous initiatives to improve the handling of electronically stored data, including the implementation of e-discovery best practices and procedures.

Mr. Paris serves as the Vice Chair of the Insurance Regulation Committee of the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section (TIPS) of the American Bar Association and is actively involved in the ABA’s Federal Involvement in Insurance Regulation Modernization Task Force.
