Adriana Collado-Hudak, a life-long Miamian, grduated with Honors from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications. While at FIU, she was awarded the Editorial American Scholarship and excelled in writing and research.
After working for several years as a copywriter and teacher, Ms. Collado-Hudak decided to pursue a law degree. She attended the University of Flroida, Levin College of Law and achieved honors in Legal Research and Writing and Appellate Advocacy. Consequently, she was selected to become a teaching assistant in those courses. While at law school, Ms. Collado-Hudak became a published author when her article, "Unfair Use: The Lack of Fair Use Protection for Satire Under § 107 of the Copyright Act" appeared in UF's Journal of Technology Law & Policy. Ms. Collado-Hudak was elected to serve as Assistant Editor-in-Chief of that Journal and graduated Cum Laude from UF in 2004.
Upon graduation, Ms. Collado-Hudak joined the Miami-Dade County Public Defender's Office. There, she tried more than 35 cases, ranging from criminal traffic and misdemeanors to life felonies. Ms. Collado-Hudak gained vast experience dealing with a wide range of charges, including DUI; drug possession, sale and trafficking; health care fraud; attempted murder; sexual abuse; probation violations and more. Ms. Collado-Hudak's exceptional interpersonal skills enabled her to achieve positive results and established a reputation among her colleagues and judges.
Ms. Collado-Hudak joined the law offices of Kubiliun & Associates, P.A. in 2009 after serving as an Assistant Public Defender for five years. There, Ms. Collado-Hudak expanded her professional knowledge and experience and extended her practice to U.S. Federal Court, Southern District of Florida, and other Florida counties. Her Spanish fluency helped the firm establish and maintain valuable contacts in the Latin American market, which led to her representation of government officials, celebrities and media personalities. Known for her attention to detail, persuasive motion practice and effective advocacy, Ms. Collado-Hudak has been invited to speak at seminars and lectures on jury selection, expungement and sealing of criminal records, and conducting depositions.
Ms. Collado-Hudak remained with Kubiliun & Associates when the firm merged into Manos, Alwine & Kubiliun, P.L. She is a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL - Miami Chapter) and served as a board member for two years. She is also a member of the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA). Ms. Collado-Hudak is an avid nature lover, runner, cyclist, and budding triathlete and has the scars to prove it.
