Jessie Cohan joined BSLF in June of 2010. She has over five years of experience in the field of trusts and estates matters. Her practice focuses on wealth transfer, business succession, estate administration, charitable planning, and tax-exempt organizations. Jessie is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Florida Bar, and the American Bar Association. She received her B.S. in Political Science from Florida State University in 2003 and her law degree from Wake Forest Law School in 2007, where she was a member of the Wake Forest Law Review and Marshall of the Moot Court Board. Jessie is the co-author of "The IRS's Section 6166 Security Dance : IRS Notice 2007-90 and Security for Deferred Payment of Estate Taxes Under Code 6166," which appeared in July/August 2008 Edition of Property & Probate and in 2011 spoke at the Georgia Basic Fiduciary Practice Seminar on Professionalism in Estate Planning.
