Brian Engelhardt has extensive experience in the areas of commercial collections, commercial and personal property leasing and loan transactions, commercial real estate leases, representation of creditor interests in commercial bankruptcies, and representation of both buyers and sellers in the transfer and assignment of commercial chattel paper. He has represented creditor interests in state court throughout Pennsylvania, as well as in the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Middle District of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Prior to his joining the firm, from 1982-2002, Mr. Engelhardt held the position of Vice-President-Legal of American Equipment Leasing, of Reading, Pennsylvania . His current practice includes representation of leasing companies and lenders in various collection and transactional matters.
Mr. Engelhardt has acted as moderator and panel member in several Bar Association Continuing Legal Education presentations dealing with creditor’s rights, and with equipment leasing issues. He has served as Chairman of the Berks County Bar Association Law Journal Committee for several years, and is a past Editor of the Law Journal. He also served on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Article 2A (Equipment Leasing) revision of the Uniform Commercial Code prior to its adoption in Pennsylvania. He is a 1973 graduate of Dickinson College (Cum Laude), and a 1976 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.
