CHARLES A. OMAGE is a partner in the firm's Gulfport office and a member of the firm's Financial Services, Lending & Real Estate practice group, as well as the Creditors Rights and Bankruptcy practice group. Charles' real estate practice includes the representation of commercial real estate developers and investors in the acquisition, financing, development and leasing of commercial office, retail, multi-family, and industrial properties. Charles also has extensive experience in representing both landlords and tenants in the preparation and negotiation of retail, office and industrial leases and subleases.

As part of his corporate and securities practice, Charles advises individuals and private and publicly held companies regarding business formation, joint ventures and preferred equity structures, private offerings of debt and equity securities, and a variety of other corporate matters.

As part of his lending practice, Charles specializes in the representation of investment banks and institutional lenders in connection with all types of lending transactions, including securitized loans, loan assumptions and defeasance transactions. Charles also advises banks with respect to loan workouts and forbearance arrangements, lender liability issues and foreclosure actions.

As an increasing number of Charles' clients have focused on sustainable development, Charles has experience in the development of LEED certified projects, including drafting and negotiating "green" leases and development contracts. Charles is a LEED Accredited Professional and member of the U.S. Green Building Council.
