Lisa Cisneros, an associate in Lieff Cabraser's San Francisco office, received her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) in 2007. During her time at Boalt Hall, Lisa received the Moot Court Advocacy Award, the Francine Diaz Memorial Award for Community Service, as well as a Superior Merit Scholarship from the Foundation of the State Bar of California.
Prior to joining Lieff Cabraser, Lisa served for two years as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Claudia Wilken of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California. She was also awarded the Pride Law Fellowship. Through the fellowship, she worked with California Rural Legal Assistance and the National Center for Lesbian Rights to launch a program to improve services for low-income lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in rural California.
In 2010, Lisa published "Recognizing and Responding to the Needs of Low-Income Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Clients," in the Clearinghouse Review Journal of Poverty Law and Policy. She has also received the Chicana Latina Foundation's Emerging Leader award in recognition of her advocacy efforts.
