Chen, Michael H.

Michael D. O'Brien is an Oregon native living in Portland since the wee age of six months. Mike is a graduate of Wilson High School where he was involved in baseball and student government. Mike later attended the University of Oregon where he earned a Bachelors of Science Degree with a major in History.

During his tenure at the University of Oregon, Mr. O'Brien took a brief leave to enlist as a medical technician in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. This reserve enlistment became more when, in January 1991, Mike was activated as a member of Portland's 939th medical squadron to support operation Desert Storm. After a brief tour of Madrid, Spain with nary a scratch or casualty to tell stories about, Mike returned to complete his studies at the University of Oregon.

After graduating from the University of Oregon, Mike was accepted to study law at the University of Wisconsin in scenic Madison. Despite the sub-freezing temperatures during the winter months and the flocks of mosquito's during the summer, Mike was able to persevere and completed his studies earning the Doctor of Law degree in December 1994.

Mike was admitted to practice law in Oregon in April of 1995. He was admitted in Wisconsin in May of 1995, and licensed in Washington in September 1997. Mike's practice focuses on bankruptcy for small business owners and complex chapter 13 cases.
