When I was young I wanted to become a doctor so I could help people.   I found the thought of curing or healing an ailment as the greatest gift one person could give to another.  Unfortunately, I realized that the sight of blood made me sick and I had to abandon the idea of medical school.  Nevertheless, instilled within me remained the desire to help people.  

My first job as a law clerk was at Legal Services of Greater Miami Inc., a non-profit organization which provides legal assistance to elderly or indigent individuals.  I remained with this organization through my years in law school and upon graduation accepted a position as an Associate in their housing and taxation department.  I assisted clients facing foreclosure and eviction to remain in their homes.  I also helped clients in economic hardship to file for bankruptcy and represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service.

I learned a lot in those years at the front lines.    Most of all, I learned that the law can help a person to heal and move forward with life.  Bankruptcy Law affords an individual the opportunity to start over and regain financial stability.

I went on to open my own practice which focused in bankruptcy and foreclosure representation.    Thereafter, I joined forces with Attorney Orfelia Mayor because we share the same core principles in client representation.
