Janice M. Casarotto, Casarotto Law Firm LLC’s managing partner, is experienced in bankruptcy, estate law, and civil practice.  Ms. Casarotto began her legal career working as a judicial assistant, calendaring deputy, deputy clerk and court recorder in the federal bankruptcy courts in Nevada and Montana, and worked as a legal researcher for the Nevada Attorney General’s office, as well as a paralegal for the Montana Public Defender’s Office in Kalispell, Montana.  Originally from Boulder, Montana, Ms. Casarotto attended undergraduate schools in Montana, Colorado, and Nevada, and graduated from Montana State University - College of Great Falls and University of Nevada, College of Urban Affairs, Las Vegas, Nevada with honors in Paralegal Studies and Criminal Law.  She earned her law degree at Boyd School of Law, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Upon graduation, Ms. Casarotto worked for the Cooper Castle Law Firm in Las Vegas and  the Nevada Attorney General’s Office.   In 2010 Ms. Casarotto returned to Montana and soon after commenced her practice as a sole practitioner in Butte, Montana.  Ms. Casarotto assumed private practice of interim appointee City Judge Daniel R. Sweeney, completing most of Mr. Sweeney’s outstanding cases during his  appointment to office, and has since developed her own practice focusing on bankruptcy, estate planning, and other civil practices services areas.

Ms. Casarotto has taught Employment Law and Ethics at Highlands College in Butte, and actively advocates for children and adults with disabilities.
