John Casais is a transactional attorney with extensive experience in a broad range of lending, securitization, and structured finance transactions, particularly in the areas of leveraged acquisitions and buyouts. He represents commercial and investment banks, finance companies, institutional investors, public and private companies, private equity funds, and mezzanine capital funds.
John has served as counsel to senior and subordinated lenders in a variety of workout transactions. He has represented agent banks in connection with syndicated lending transactions (including real estate financing transactions) ranging in size from $20 million to $1.5 billion; advised agents, commercial paper conduits, and liquidity providers taking part in commercial paper financings between $120 million and more than $1 billion; advised institutional investors in connection with the private placement of senior subordinated notes and warrants; and represented lessees, equity investors, and lenders in leveraged lease transactions involving aircraft, rolling stock, ships, satellite transponders, and all types of real estate and power generation and transmission assets.
John is a member of the American Bar Association and the American College of Investment Counsel.
