Mr. Caplan is an associate in the Subrogation Department practicing exclusively in the field of insurance subrogation. He has more than 22 years of litigation experience focusing primarily on negligence and products liability claims. Mr. Caplan has successfully represented clients in complex workers' compensation and property subrogation cases including fire, flood, roof collapse, construction defect, workplace accident and product malfunction claims in numerous federal and state jurisdictions around the country.
Mr. Caplan is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, District of New Jersey and Western District of Michigan and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third, Fourth, Sixth and Eighth Circuits. Mr. Caplan received his B.A. from the Pennsylvania State University in 1985 and his J.D. from Temple University, Beasley School of Law in 1988.
In addition to litigating and trying cases, Mr. Caplan is a frequent lecturer at national and regional conferences held by the National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP) where he is also a Track Leader for the Workers' Compensation Subrogation Track. Mr. Caplan has been AV rated by the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating system and was selected as a Pennsylvania "Super Lawyer" in 2004.
