Guy A. Campisano, Jr. has been a criminal defense lawyer for close to twenty-five years. In 1982, Mr. Campisano graduated cum laude from Hastings College of Law,
University of California. During law school, he participated on the Hasting Law Journal and tutored first year students on criminal law. He also externed for the Honorable Robert F. Peckham, who was then the Chief District Court Judge for the Northern District of California. Following law school, Mr. Campisano entered private practice in
San Francisco. Since then, he has handled a wide variety of criminal cases in federal and state courts both at the trial and appellate levels. These cases include insurance fraud, embezzlement, bank fraud, regulatory violations, civil rights violations, murder, robbery, kidnapping, terrorist threats, sex offenses, and serious drug offenses. For example, he obtained an acquittal at trial in one of the largest hashish importation prosecutions in the country, involving 56 tons of hashish. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and California Attorneys for Criminal Justice.
