Sarah has experience handling a wide variety of complex intellectual property litigation involving patents, trademarks and copyrights. Her litigation experience stretches from pre-filing investigation, into trial, and through appeal. This litigation has resulted in millions of dollars in settlements for her clients and several licensing agreements. She has helped her clients, often inventors and small businesses, develop and maintain a foothold in the market place. She does this by enforcing her clients' intellectual property rights against large companies that infringe those rights.

Prior to joining the Simmons Firm, Sarah prosecuted patent applications with a St. Louis-area law firm. There she utilized her Biochemistry degree and experience in plant genetics to gain valuable insight into the patenting process as a registered patent practitioner. She now uses this knowledge to help her clients enforce their existing intellectual property rights. Sarah's practice continues to evolve into a wide range of technologies and the arts, including such area as biotechnology, the Internet, electronic voting, telecommunications, financial payment systems, welding gear, sports gear, hunting gear, toys and fabric design.
