Michelle C. Burke is a Shareholder with the Law Firm of Schoeppl & Burke, P.A. Ms. Burke practices primarily in the area of complex commercial litigation with an emphasis in appellate, matrimonial, labor and employment law. Ms. Burke established her commercial litigation practice by working with preeminent lawyers in boutique firms in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Baca Raton, Florida, and has extensive experience in handling commercial, health care, and employment law matters for the clients ranging from large corporations to small businesses. One of her more notable matrimonial cases resulted in a published decision by the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeals styled Catsicas v. Catsicas, 669 So. 2d 1126 (Fla. 4th DCA 1996). During law school, Ms. Burke served as a Judicial Intern to Senior District Judge James C. Paine, United States District court for the Southern District of Florida, was a contributing author in Flynn, Private Medical Insurance and the Collateral Source Rule: A good Bet?, 22 U.Tol. L. Rev. 39 (1990), and M. Flynn, Secured Transations in Florida, 8 (1990). Ms. Burke was also a member of Phi Delta Phi and the Dean's List, received the Leo Goodwin merit Scholarship, and was awarded a Goodwin Research Fellowship. Ms. Burke is admitted to practice law in Florida, and before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
