Mike Brown practices primarily in the area of commercial real estate, representing institutional property owners, investors, small business operators, retailers, and individuals in all aspects of commercial real estate. Mike maintains a particular emphasis on retail leasing and development, representing shopping center developers, real estate investment trusts and property managers in drafting and negotiating lease agreements with national tenants.
Mike represents business clients with regard to the purchase and sale of a variety of commercial property, including office, industrial, hotel, and retail properties. He advises and assists clients in construction matters and dispute resolution. Mike is a frequent lecturer at continuing education seminars on commercial real estate matters.
Mike also handles residential real estate matters such as acquisitions, title issues, easements, closings and development.
Mike began his career with a business degree in Real Estate and Marketing from the University of Cincinnati, College of Business, leasing office and industrial space with a regional developer. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati, College of Law in 1997. Since law school, Mike has practiced with other premier real estate practice groups, and developed a successful sole practice. Prior to Joining Beckman Weil Shepardson, Mike partnered with a veteran retail lease attorney representing Landlords that owned or managed over three million square feet of retail space.
He resides in Northern Kentucky with his wife and two children. He has served on boards for the East Walnut Hills Assembly, the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, as well as local home owners’ associations.
