After graduating with honors from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Sarah Z. Brown was licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas in 1991. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University in 1973, and a Master of Science degree from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in 1975. At Miley & Brown, Ms. Brown has handled a wide range of affirmative immigration cases since 1991.
Ms. Brown earned Board Certification in 1996 in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. In addition, she has been admitted to Federal Court practice in both the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (and its Texas Chapter), and the Dallas Bar Association. Ms. Brown served as Chair of the CIS Dallas District Office Liaison for several years. She is currently Past-Chair of the Texas Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association after having served as Secretary, Treasurer, Vice-Chair and Chair. Additionally, she is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in 2007 and in Texas Monthly in 2007 as a "Texas Super Lawyer".
