Douglas D. Brown, Attorney at Law, is a husband and is a father of three, and has practiced Criminal defense and family law in Tangiphoa Parish for nearly two decades. After working in Washington, D.C. for Congressman Richard Baker, Brown served as a judicial law clerk for State District Judges Ray Chutz in Amite and M. Douglas Hughes in Livingston. He later served as the City of Hammond's Assistant City Prosecutor. Before earning a JD degree at Louisiana State University's Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Brown attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and earned a BA degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in Economics.
Brown's felony trial practice includes homicide, drug trafficking, kidnapping, burglary, and DWI.
Brown has been a member of the American Bar Association, , the Federal Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers, The Twenty First Judicial District Bar Association, and the Florida Parishes Inns of Court.
In his spare time, Brown is a Little League Coach for the Hammond City Recreation Department. He is also the Hammond Eastside Magnet PTA Vice President, and has been a CASA Volunteer Trainer.
