Craig Brown joined the law firm of Larkin Axelrod Ingrassia & Tetenbaum LLP as an associate in December, 2007 and was named a partner in January, 2013.
Mr. Brown has over a decade of experience as a trial attorney, primarily practicing in the area of criminal law. While serving as an assistant district attorney in both the Queens County and Orange County District Attorney's Offices, he investigated, prosecuted, and tried numerous cases to verdict involving the crimes of homicide, rape, felony assault, robbery, burglary, criminal possession of a weapon, and white collar larceny.
As an associate in the New York City law firm of Mound Cotton Wollan & Greengrass, he served as a litigator in civil cases involving lead paint, labor law, breach of contract, securities fraud, unauthorized trading, enterprise corruption, personal injury, and insurance coverage issues.
Mr. Brown also has appellate experience. He has researched and written numerous appellate briefs and has argued before state and federal appellate courts, including the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit and the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division, Second Department.
Mr. Brown is a member of the New York State Bar and serves as a member of the grievance committee for the Orange County Bar Association. He also is admitted to practice law in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, as well as the United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit.
He has lectured attorneys and police officers on trial techniques and issues involving the search, seizure and suppression of evidence. Mr. Brown has served as a mock trial coach, and he has taught at the Pine Bush Law and Leadership Academy (formerly known as the Pine Bush Junior Police Academy).
Craig is a local product, having graduated from Pine Bush High School in 1988. He graduated in 1993 with honors from Old Dominion University, and in 1996, he earned his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo School of Law where he was awarded the Dale S. Margulis Award, a recognition of the graduate who contributed most to the law school community.
Mr. Brown is a member of the Walden Sportsmen's Club, and he has served as a lector and parish council member for his local church.
