Since 1992, as an Oregon attorney, I have been successfully fighting for the rights and benefits of the injured, the sick, and the disabled. For me this is not just a job, it is a calling. When I was 18 years old I was catastrophically injured in a motorcycle accident and now walk with the aid of a prosthetic limb. After a long emotional and physical recovery, I returned to and completed college and then attended the University of Oregon School of Law where I obtained my law degree in 1992. I come from a family of little means and put myself through law school by working and borrowing money without the aid or assistance of any family member.

Before I graduated from law school, my daughter was born followed by a son four years later. I have been blessed by the presence of a wonderful wife of 22 years and two phenomenal children. I understand the impact that injury and disability has upon the children and family members of the one who is suffering. After graduating from law school it was apparent that there were many areas of law from which to choose, but I knew right away that I wanted to assist people who were struggling with the same kinds of things that I had struggled with when I had to learn to walk again and then to move forward and get myself through college and law school. When I win a case, most of my clients receive a sizable sum of money as well as medical benefits. Most often this allows them to procure and maintain stable housing and provides them with access to medical care and a better quality of life.
