Bruce R. Brandlin has practiced law in California since 1979 and holds an AV Preeminent Rating with Martindale Hubbell. His practice from 1979 to 1995 included plaintiff’s personal injury law, probate, business , civil litigation and employment law. Bruce and his brother, Brian practiced law together under the firm name of Brandlin and Brandlin in Torrance from 1987 to 1995. In 1995, Bruce took a job with his former employer as Sr. Vice President/General Counsel for K. V. Mart Co., one of the largest independent grocers in Southern California for the past twenty years. As General Counsel, he was responsible for all legal matters for the company, including premises liability and employment law defense, safety and risk management, governmental compliance, workers compensation, insurance, landlord-tenant, business, contracts, civil litigation and real estate. Bruce was a member of the Board of Directors for California Grocers Association for eight years, where he served the interests of his company and other grocers with State legislators in Sacramento. After his youngest son, Chris, passed the BAR in 2011, Bruce and Chris decided they would fulfill a family dream of practicing law with other Brandlins. That dream came true when Bruce and Chris joined Burkley & Brandlin LLP on January 1, 2013. Bruce continues to serve as General Counsel for K. V. Mart Co. and Darioush Winery.
