Thomas Barbera was admitted to practice in 1986. Prior to becoming an attorney, he was a certified public accountant. He is a former Assistant District Attorney for Jefferson Parish and former Louisiana Assistant Attorney General. He was also the Vice-President and General-Counsel to the Louisiana Gaming Control Board (Louisiana Economic Development and Gaming Control Board). Tom has most recently represented St. Bernard Parish Government against its property insurer relating to damages sustained in Hurricane Katrina to over 50 parish owned structures. He has over 25 years of experience in the practice of law as well as numerous years of accounting experience. His areas of expertise include Business Transactions and Litigation, Real Estate, Bankruptcy, Labor & Employment, Personal Injury, Family Law, Worker’s Compensation and Landlord and Tenant Law.
