Paul Bran joined Dickstein Shapiro in 1990, and focuses his practice on bankruptcy, creditors' rights, and commercial litigation. Mr. Bran was elected a partner of the firm effective January 1, 1994. He has represented national and regional banks and other financial institutions, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and RTC in their capacity as conservator and receiver of failed financial institutions, mezzanine lenders, hedge funds, unsecured creditors' committees, trustees, creditors' trusts, debtors, and bankruptcy asset purchasers. Mr. Bran's practice includes out-of-court workouts and restructurings, as well as bankruptcies, state court receiverships, related proceedings, and commercial litigation in various jurisdictions across the United States. He has a solid knowledge of post-judgment collection practices, including supplemental proceedings in aid of execution such as garnishment, attachment, judicial sale, and related proceedings.
