Born 1945 Los Angeles, California. Mr. Borg is a life long resident of California. He is a graduate of Lynwood Academy (near Los Angeles); San Francisco State University and the Thomas Jefferson School of Law where he earned honors in the study of property law. Mr. Borg has been a part-time resident of our local mountain range and a fisherman his entire life.

Mr. Borg is the father of two daughters. He is married to Alice a teacher, who surrendered a career in law for education, after attending the prestigious Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. She chose the world of education over conflict resolution.

Mr. Borg is a Vietnam veteran who has completed careers in Real Estate; Business and Civil Litigation. For many years his primary focus was health care law, which gave way to serving as litigation counsel for a major San Diego developer.

He has also served as a "lawyers lawyer" on many occasions. At times his service to other lawyers has been as high as 25% of his entire practice. Mr. Borg is proud that many lawyers have chosen to entrust him with their legal matters.

Now after 35 years of major litigation, Mr. Borg is refocusing his practice on the dissolution of marriages and estates in providing the mutual benefit of a little more time for fishing and clients benefiting from his broad experiences.

Since Mr. Borg prefers to concentrate on the division of assets, heavy duty child custody matters are often times referred to other lawyers. Mr. Borg feels his understanding of the business world and the complex issues of the divorce process adds value to his services beyond most family law practitioners who have never ventured outside the world of "divorce courts". Therefore he searches for those types of cases in which clients will benefit from his past experiences, which includes the formation, dissolution, and the sale of family business and as well as significant institutions. In addition to Real Estate Development; General Real Estate; Health Care Law; and managing his own distribution business to the United States Department of Defense, Mr. Borg holds a long standing reputation as a result-oriented attorney who effectively represents clients in negotiations in attempt to avoid litigation. If the direction of your case requires court appearances and/or a trial, he is very experienced and at the ever ready for the challenge.

However, Mr. Borg will work hard to avoid unnecessary court involvement. Over a recent period of time Mr. Borg tried several real estate cases, during which all his divorce cases were settled. His long term settlement rate is about 97% for divorce cases.

Mr. Borg's clients benefit from his unique experience and strong ability to negotiate. Mr. Borg is the currently the secretary of the Marine Iraq Legal Defense Fund and a member of Carlsbad Rotary Club.
