Born in Wheeling, West Virginia in 1981, Amanda J. Bonnesen graduated from the Linsly School in 1999. She attended the University of South Carolina and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and was named to the Criminal Justice Honor Society. As an undergraduate, Amanda J. Bonnesen was a participant in the National Student Exchange at the University of Wyoming.
Amanda J. Bonnesen earned her Juris Doctorate in 2006 from the University Of Dayton School Of Law. During law school, she participated in the Pro Bono Appellate Project and served in the University’s Law Clinic offering free legal assistance to those in need. She also clerked for Judge Walter Rice in Federal District Court of the Sixth circuit and Judge Jennifer Sargus in Belmont County, Ohio. Amanda J. Bonnesen began her legal career as an Assistant Public Defender in Allegheny County. She gained extensive courtroom experience during her time as an Assistant Public Defender.
Ms. Bonnesen is a Social Security Disability attorney at Berger and Green. Attorney Bonnesen represents individuals in Ohio, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania in Social Security Disability (SSD) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) cases. She is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR). She is also a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Social Security Practitioners Committee.
Ms. Bonnesen is licensed to practice in all Pennsylvania State and Federal Courts and in all Social Security Courts throughout the United States. She is committed to advocating for individuals who can no longer work due to a disability.
