"In all thy ways acknowledge him and he will direct thy path." Proverbs 3:6, is the philosophy in which Attorney Summer S. Bluford lives by. Ms. Bluford, originally a native of Monroe, Louisiana, attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe and graduated cum laude in pre-law/ legal studies. While earning her undergraduate degree, she served as legal assistant to a local law firm which specialized in criminal law, personal injury and bankruptcy.

Ms. Bluford earned a Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center, in Baton Rouge Louisiana, where she was also a cum laude graduate. While in law school, she worked as a student attorney in the Southern University Criminal Law Clinic, providing effective and competent representation to indigent clients who could not afford paid representation. She also served as a law clerk at the Louisiana Attorney General's Office in Baton Rouge, La., where she assisted in cases dealing with Civil Rights, Road Hazards, and General Civil Litigation issues.

Upon graduating law school, Ms. Bluford served as a judicial law clerk in the Fourth Judicial District Court, to the Honorable Judge Carl Van Sharp, and the Honorable Judge Benjamin Jones, who was subsequently appointed as judge pro tempore for the Louisiana Supreme Court. She has also served as an assistant public defender for Caddo Parish Juvenile Court, where she acted as lead defense counsel in criminal cases involving juveniles.

In 2009, Ms. Bluford joined the staff at Jacqueline Scott & Associates, a full-service law firm, where she specializes in criminal law, personal injury, successions and donations, as well as expungements.
