Tanya Bernotas is a counsel in the firm's Securities Department, and a member of the Securities Litigation and Enforcement Practice Group. She joined the firm in 2007.
Practice
Ms. Bernotas has represented investment banks, investment advisers, broker-dealers, public companies, hedge funds and individuals in a wide range of matters before the US Securities and Exchange Commission, securities self-regulatory organizations and state securities enforcement authorities.
Ms. Bernotas’ recent matters have concerned securities lending transactions; expert network firms; trading in fixed income products, including complex asset-backed instruments; insider trading investigations; and investor disclosure issues. She has also advised on reporting and accounting issues and sales and supervisory practices.
Prior to joining the firm in 2007, Ms. Bernotas represented financial institutions in securities litigation and arbitrations.
Ms. Bernotas is admitted to practice in the State of New York, and in the District of Columbia.
