Neyah Kane Bennett is the co-founder of Connecticut’s business and technology firm, Aeton Law Partners LLP.  He is AV Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.  The AV Rating is the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.  In 2013, he was invited to the board of litigation attorneys as a contributing author for ALM Media's new online practice resource for Connecticut lawyers, Smart Litigator Connecticut.  He is included in the 2012 listing of outstanding attorneys in the region published by Super Lawyers.   In 2011, he was selected by Hartford Magazine as one of Greater Hartford’s “Top Attorney’s.”  He was further selected as a member of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance in 2011 upon the recommendation of an advisory board following evaluation for high ethical standards and accomplishment in the profession of law.

Attorney Bennett started his trial career as a prosecutor. As an Assistant District Attorney, he was in the courtroom every day. He tried numerous jury and non-jury cases to verdict and questioned hundreds of witnesses under oath in court proceedings. In addition to his experience as a prosecutor, Attorney Bennett spent seven years practicing at one of Connecticut's largest litigation and trial firms where he was named a Partner. His experience included the handling of cases involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, business disputes, and commercial litigation.

Attorney Bennett's practice at Aeton includes representation of individuals and businesses in a range of matters such as business disputes, breach of contract, theft of trade secrets, unfair trade practices, commercial law, technology, employment, personal injury, and products liability. In addition, he provides general counsel services to individuals and businesses throughout Connecticut related to litigation, technology, human resources and employment matters, and risk management issues. Attorney Bennett also regularly handles matters in Massachusetts and other states.

Attorney Bennett has earned recognition as a technology leader in law firm practice and management. He was a leader in the initial move by forward thinking Connecticut law firms to adopt digital technology and paperless files.  At Aeton, Attorney Bennett has stayed on the leading edge of law firm technology including the use of cloud based law practice management and virtual services.  He is a frequent author and commentator on issues concerning technology and the law such as cloud computing, paperless law offices, and lean law firm design. 

Attorney Bennett is the author of the Connecticut Business Litigation Blog which covers commentary and updates on laws, lawsuits, and legal issues for Connecticut business. He also has presented seminars on mobile lawyering, technology errors, cyber liability, privacy laws and data loss, electronic discovery, and the benefits of a paperless law practice.
