Ms. Bernhardt is a graduate of Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and a Teaching Fellow and where she now teaches Legal Practice. Ms. Bernhardt previously practiced with the firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlet, served as a Supervisor in the Bronx County District Attorney's Office, and taught at Fordam University School of Law. In 2008 she taught legal writing and appellate practice at Columbia Law School. Ms. Bernhardt has served on many boards and committees, including the Committee for Courts of Appellate Jurisdiction of the New York State Bar Association. She has argued over 60 appeals in New York and federal courts. Ms. Bernhardt's practice focuses on white collar defense, regulatory enforcement, and internal investigations.
