Eric Berlin has extensive trial and courtroom experience, particularly in litigation involving competition issues and matters involving the Sherman Act, the Robinson-Patman Act, the False Claims Act, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. He also has experience with class actions, business torts, contract disputes, intellectual property, and product liability.
Eric recently represented Abbott Laboratories in pharmaceutical pricing litigation. His other representations include a trial victory in a breach of contract case for ABC-NACO, an international arbitration victory for Bayer, a trial and Seventh Circuit victory in an antitrust case for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco, and a summary judgment and Sixth Circuit victory in another antitrust case for R.J. Reynolds.
Eric has been named a "key partner" in the Global Competition Review's survey of the world's leading competition law practices and economists. He recently spoke on antitrust matters at The Chicago Bar Association and at a conference on the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Eric is on the board of directors of the Better Government Association in Chicago and the associates board for the Gastro-Intestinal Research Foundation. He also is active in Dartmouth College alumni affairs and serves as vice president for the class of 1989.
