Marcus Becton is a foreclosure defense and short sale attorney. As a Certified Short Sale Specialist (CSSS) and Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), Marcus helps homeowners with foreclosure alternatives, including loss mitigation and short sale negotiations. He also focuses on small business, church and nonprofit law After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law and receiving a Masters in City and Regional Planning, he also works in real estate and community development, helping to improve the housing opportunities in underserved communities. Marcus' experiences include small business start-up and development, helping nonprofits to obtain their 501(c)3 tax exempt status, real estate law and real estate development consulting. Marcus also is currently serving as corporate counsel for World Overcomers Christian Church, one of the fastest growing churches in the U.S. He is married to Ginger Becton, a 3rd Grade teacher in Chapel Hill.
