In his 34 years of practice, Attorney Beckwith has never represented an insurance company. He exclusively represents the injured and has collected millions of dollars for them.

He specializes in workers compensation and Social Security Disability claims.

Prior to starting his workers compensation practice, Attorney Beckwith spent four years in the U.S. Navy, serving in Viet Nam and the Mediterranean Sea. He graduated from Santa Monica College with an Associate of Arts Degree in 1972; attended the University of West Los Angeles, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Law degree in 1974; and graduated from Mid Valley College of Law in 1977 with a Juris Doctor degree in law.

In his early years, Attorney Beckwith worked as a laborer and operated machines in a factory and later worked as a construction laborer. He understands the type of equipment on which workers are injured and the mechanics of their injuries. His experience provides a strong foundation for his representation of injured workers. He also worked full time through college and law school, at a large Los Angeles law firm and as a clerk in the Malibu Municipal Court.

Attorney Beckwith has been practicing law in the State of California since December 1977 and has been a Certified Specialist in Workers Compensation by the State Bar Board of Legal Specialization since April 12, 1983.

He was appointed as a Judge Pro-Tempore by the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board on February 6, 1985.
