Before joining Becker & Ernst in private practice, Ms. Becker spent 6 ½ years a Deputy Public Defender in Colorado. She has defended thousands of clients in all types of criminal cases. She has defended those faced with charges varying from DUI, traffic offenses, misdemeanors, all level felonies, including drug offenses, sexual assaults, and homicides. Ms. Becker has tried numerous cases with a solid rate of success obtaining acquittals for a number of clients. There really is no case that Ms. Becker won't defend. She enjoys being in the courtroom ensuring that constitutional rights of each individual charged with a crime are protected.

Ms. Becker has represented several high profile clients and appeared in the media representing these clients.

Ms. Becker has recently expanded her practice to include issues in family law, including divorces, custody disputes, and child support collections. She is very excited to work with clients parsing through these tough issues during these hard times of their lives.

Ms. Becker takes particular care in the needs of her clients. She understands that being involved in the judicial system, no matter what case, or what level is important to every person, and therefore is important to her. She makes sure to spend quality time with each and every client to ensure that the individual understands every aspect of their case.

Ms. Becker has practiced in many jurisdictions in Colorado, including Jefferson, Denver, Arapahoe, El Paso, Pueblo, Alamosa, Otero, Bent, and Las Animas counties. She is well respected by the judges and her colleagues in each of these jurisdictions and has had a high rate of success with each of her clients. She is also licensed in the United States District Court District of Colorado where she represents clients charged with federal offenses.

Ms. Becker is bilingual in Spanish and has represented numerous Spanish speaking clients.
