Derek B. Barba was born and raised in Miami. After graduating high school in 1988, Mr. Barba created a building development company with his family and participated in projects constructing single-family homes.
In 1991, Mr. Barba earned a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and a Bachelor's Degree in International & Comparative Studies from the University of Miami. Mr. Barba attended St. Thomas University School of Law where he earned a J.D. degree in 1997.
Mr. Barba handles all aspects of lawsuits, including jury trials, in cases involving personal injury litigation including wrongful death, medical malpractice, nursing home/assisted living facility malpractice, auto negligence, slip and fall, negligent security, insurance coverage issues, third party administration malpractice and products liability.
