S. EASON BALCH, JR. is a Partner in the firm's Governmental Relations Practice Group and the firm's Energy Practice Group and is leader of the State Governmental Relations Practice. His practice focuses on drafting, reviewing and analyzing legislation, developing legislative strategy for passage, defeat or amendment of legislation, advising clients regarding federal and state ethics laws, Alabama lobbying laws and federal and state campaign finance laws and laws relating to the establishment and operation of federal and state political committees. Mr. Balch also represented the firm's clients before the Alabama Public Service Commission, trial and appellate courts in Alabama and the U.S. appellate courts.
