Banta, Stephen F.

Since joining the firm in 2009, my practice focused primarily on criminal and family law. I have represented clients successfully at all levels of judicial proceedings, including administrative hearings before the Division of Motor Vehicles, District and Superior courts, the North Carolina Court of Appeals and United States Federal Court for the Middle District of North Carolina.

I have conducted numerous bench trials on issues such as misdemeanor criminal and traffic offenses, including Driving While Impaired, child custody and support, restraining orders, termination of parental rights, domestic violence and drug charges.  I have also served as lead attorney on jury trials involving misdemeanor and felony criminal charges.

Prior to joining Scott Law Offices, I worked in a small law firm in Lexington, North Carolina from August, 2008 until August, 2009 where my practice focused on civil litigation, family law and criminal/traffic defense.

I reside in High Point, North Carolina with my Wife and daughter.  I am an avid fan of UNC sports and enjoy playing golf and spending time with my family.
