Robert da Silva Ashley represents public and private corporate borrowers, financial institutions, debt investors, and project companies in sophisticated cross-border and domestic lending transactions, including leveraged acquisitions, corporate recapitalizations, distress debt acquisitions, debtor-in-possession financings, project financings and developments, and leveraged equity sponsor financings in the United States, Europe, and Latin America. Robert has experience working on a broad range of credit facilities, including term, revolving, asset-backed, bridge, secured and unsecured, syndicated and single-lender, and senior and subordinated facilities. Representative industries in which Robert has negotiated and documented transactions include energy (oil and gas and renewables), banking and finance, automotive parts manufacturing, real estate, cosmetics, fashion and design, sports, telecommunications, and human resource services. Robert has been active in a variety of client matters in Latin America and has recently represented certain major financial institutions and global energy companies, providing analysis and strategic advice concerning counterparty credit risk exposure.
