Samira Arabnia is an attorney at our firm and practices in our Miami office. Samira received her Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2010, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and a minor in Italian from the University of Georgia in 2007. (Go Dawgs!)
Samira was a recipient of the Hope Scholarship when she began her studies at the University of Georgia. While at UGA, Samira served in a variety of student leadership positions, including being one of the founding members of the Persian Student Union and served as Treasurer for Phi Alpha Delta. Samira was also very involved in serving the community: she participated in the Big Brother/Big Sister Program; she recorded books onto CDs for the blind and dyslexic; she participated in the Adopt-A-Highway program; and she volunteered at the soup kitchen of the Salvation Army.
In addition, Samira was involved in many leadership activities while at Nova. She was elected to be a member and served as Treasurer of the Student Bar Association. Samira also was chosen to be on the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), and joined several organizations, including Phi Alpha Delta, Business Law Association, and Environmental Law Association. Samira was one of five students who received the President's Award for the 2008-2009 school year.
While in law school, Samira interned full-time at Devine, Goodman, Rasco & Wells, P.A. and Font Law Group, which exposed her to several aspects of business, international, immigration, and entertainment law. She also has sufficient exposure to criminal law, which she gained from interning at the Athens Justice Project and from transcribing courtroom proceedings in the Superior Court of Georgia. Samira graduated law school with Pro Bono Honors.
Samira is a member of several bars, including: the Florida Bar; U.S. District Court Southern District of Florida Bar; the Georgia Bar; the U.S. District Court Middle District of Georgia Bar; as well as New Jersey's State and Federal Bars. Before joining our firm, Samira was a law clerk for the Honorable William J. Martini in the United States District Court-District of New Jersey.
Samira is fluent in the Persian/Farsi language.
