Jordana Altman is a staff attorney in the Securities Department, and a member of the Securities Litigation and Enforcement Practice Group. She joined the firm in 2011.
Practice
Ms. Altman focuses her practice on issues of e-discovery in defense of federal and state securities claims against entities and individuals, and derivative and other claims against corporations and their officers and directors. Specifically, she works with other attorneys, litigation technology project managers and paralegals on teams that manage electronic and other documents in large cases and investigations. Attorneys on these teams take a leadership role in the document control process, systematically tracking documents from preservation to collection and through review and production. They work with e-discovery vendors and their review and analytical tools, review documents, train and oversee other firm and contract attorneys who review documents, and partner with project managers to perform production quality controls.
Past Experience
Ms. Altman has direct experience with document analysis and review. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for Dechert LLP in New York City where she managed document production for thousands of matters in a large-scale pharmaceutical litigation by coordinating collection, review, quality control and production of a vast quantity of documents. She has responded to discovery requests and prepared documents for the Securities Exchange Commission, Department of Justice, Congress, multiple State Attorney General investigations and insurance arbitrations.
