June received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina in 1976, and her MBA and Law degrees in 1981. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and was admitted to the Order of the Coif (top ten percent, Law School). June's practice focuses on commercial finance and secured transactions. She is also the chief appellate attorney for Wishart Norris Henninger & Pittman, and is actively involved in commercial loan transactions, contractual matters, and regulatory matters.
She has lectured on business and contractual matters and bankruptcy and creditors' rights at The People's Law School of Alamance County, at Alamance Community College, and at various statewide seminars. She served on the North Carolina Bar Association's Appellate Rules and Communications Committees and on the Alamance County Bar Association's Grievance Committee. June has always taken a leadership role in both the Burlington and Charlotte communities. While in the Burlington office of Wishart, Norris, Henninger & Pittman, June was a member of the Board of Directors and President of Family Abuse Services, and also served on the Board of Directors for Meals on Wheels, Child Resource and Referral, and the United Way. In addition, June served in the Small Business Section of the Alamance Chamber of Commerce, on the Special Events Committee of the Downtown Corporation, and as a writer for the Centennial Committee. Since relocating to our Charlotte office, June has been an active member of the Board of Directors of the Dore Academy. She is also a member of the Bankruptcy and Business Law Sections of the North Carolina Bar Association.
