Attorney Alpert is the founding partner of the firm, starting the practice in 1976 after receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, graduating cum laude, and obtaining his law degree from Marquette University.
Prior to establishing Alpert & Fellows, Attorney Alpert worked in the legal department of Fort Howard Paper Co., and was a municipal judge for the City of Manitowoc. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Manitowoc County Youth Hockey Association and the Manitowoc County Ice Center. He was on the Ice Center Board when the Center was built in 1995. Attorney Alpert is also a past member of the Manitowoc County Board and Board of Trustees for the Manitowoc Public Library.
Currently, Attorney Alpert is on the City of Manitowoc Planning Commission and is a member of the Manitowoc Rotary Club (Pres. 1997-1998), Wisconsin Academy for Trial Lawyers (1985-present), and Manitowoc County Bar Association (Pres. 2005-2006).
Attorney Alpert was the incorporator of the first Indochinese MAA in the State of Wisconsin (1978), and had the first successful prosecution of an Open Meeting Law complaint in Wisconsin. He also settled one of the first reported TMJ cases in Wisconsin.
