Jeffrey P. Albert (Jeff) is a founding partner of Albert & Krochmal. Jeff attended Case Western Reserve University Law School in Cleveland, Ohio and was awarded his Juris Doctor degree finishing in the top third of his class. Jeff has worked as a lawyer for the Federal Trade Commission doing consumer protection work, for The BF Goodrich Company advising top corporate officers and managers regarding federal trade laws, and in private law practice in Dayton, Ohio since 1981.
In private law practice, Jeff has concentrated in the areas of consumer bankruptcy law doing both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy and family law doing divorce, dissolution, and child custody and support matters. In 1983, his partner, Kenneth J. Krochmal (Ken) joined him in practice as an associate attorney. Then in 1990 they formed the partnership of Albert & Krochmal. They have continued working together representing people who are struggling with both financial and marital difficulties. Over the years Ken has done more of the family law work and Jeff has concentrated his efforts in helping people solve their debt problems. Jeff has more than 30 years of experience and has virtually seen every type of legal problem one can imagine. He knows how to solve your financial problems and give you a new start in life. He prides himself in making sure that every client understands the legal process in their case and he does his best to educate clients so they know why Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 is the best remedy to solve their debt problem. Jeff prides himself in having a reputation of getting it done. He treats every case with the urgency needed to solve the problem quickly so that his clients can stop worrying about their debt problem and begin enjoying a new start.
Deciding to file a personal bankruptcy is a very stressful life event for many people and Jeff does his best to help people understand their legal rights and to feel better about the choices they make. Jeff’s goal is to provide a prompt solution to every client and he has helped many people through tough economic times. In return, he has gained the respect of his clients, of his legal colleagues in the community who refer clients to him from time to time, and of the bankruptcy judges.
In his spare time, Jeff enjoys riding his bike and staying fit. He and his wife have done two full marathons and several half marathons as well as a century bike ride (actually 109 miles) to raise money for Team in Training Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Jeff considers himself a professional problem solver and raising money for a good cause is just another problem he tries to solve by contributing his time and effort to find a cure.
